Are You a Minimalist or a Maximalist?

Note from Jeanette Joy Fisher

Greetings & Joy to You!
I was the Mightiest of Maximalists when I was so fortunate to have a husband who loved me enough to buy me my dream Victorian home in a state all the way across the country. We loved living on the St Johns River in Florida and would still be there if our daughter could have handled the humidity.

The three-story home had seven bedrooms. and five fireplaces with ornate mantles for stuff. You know I had fun. I had to go back to interior design school. There I discovered how the interior designers were teaching home renovation all wrong. So I went to the architectural library with my son who taught me how to research. I spent days reading about the psychology behind the elements of design. not interior design. I wanted to know how to make our home happy, not to impress.
That’s how I discovered Design Psychology.

Minimalism vs Maximalism

🌿 Mighty Maximalism Show

Mighty Maximalism celebrates expressive interiors, layered stories, collected art, and bold personal environments. This show honors abundance done with intention — where color, texture, history, and personality coexist beautifully. Mighty Maximalism demonstrates that fullness can be elegant, and that richly designed spaces can still support harmony and thoughtful living.
